My name is Justin Molano, President of the Delta-Xi Chapter of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at The George Washington University, and I would like to personally welcome you to our official chapter website!
Our fraternity was founded at Boston University in 1909, and the values and principles that forged its creation over 100 years ago are still alive today in our chapter. Since our chapter was established in 1991, we have made it our mission to embrace the core values that have defined our Fraternity: loyalty, duty, respect, service and stewardship, honor, integrity, and personal courage. As you explore this website, you will see that Lambda Chi Alpha is more than just a fraternity… we are a family, a family with shared ideals and shared aspirations.
When I rushed Lambda Chi Alpha in the fall of 2013, I was unsure whether or not the fraternity lifestyle was right for me. In college, I wanted to expand my horizons beginning my freshman year. I thought joining a fraternity would be a great way to pursue this goal, but I was not 100% sure. Once I came to a few rush events and met some brothers, I knew I had found my place at GW! Everyone has heard the stereotypes about fraternities, but so many people fail to realize that there is a lot more to the fraternity lifestyle than that which is the focus of Animal House. Being a brother in a fraternity means always having someone to study with, always having someone to hang out with, and always having people to rely upon.
And for those of you who are still unsure of your interest in joining our brotherhood, here are a few facts: Lambda Chi Alpha and GW have strict no-hazing policies, both of which are fully enforced by this chapter. Every new member has voting rights and can even run for office; you are not a "pledge," but rather an Associate Member. As an associate member you have the same rights as every brother and before being initiatiated I ran for and was elected to an officer position. We participate in Greek-sponsored philanthropy events to raise money for many different charities. We are constantly on the rise, always keeping our eyes out for ways to improve our fraternity, and we are excited to grow and prosper in 2016.
I welcome you to explore the rest of this site. The brothers of the Delta-Xi chapter thank you for your interest in our chapter. If you would like to personally contact me, my email is here I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Welcome to our brotherhood! firstname.lastname@example.org
